Join us for a #schnitty4sam in 2025

4 May 2025 will mark 17 years since 17 year old Sam Davis played a game of footy, had his favourite schnitty in the club rooms, and then went out to a party, just like he had many times before - only this time, Sam didn't come home.

Join us commemorating Sam's memory and supporting his legacy, the Sammy D Foundation, by having a #schnitty4sam this May.

By purchasing a virtual schnitty you are standing with us as we say NO to violence and YES to mateship.

May 2025

In 2024 our #schnitty4sam community ate 45,888 schnitzels which raised $61,752. This allowed us to educate 6,175 young people about the impact violence has on our community.

This year we have a $15,000 donation goal from generous individuals like YOU, and a collective goal of $85,000 that will include the support of participating venues and our friends Drakes Supermarkets in South Australia and Queensland.

So, why is our work so vital?

Violence in schools is up 22% in the last three years. We know our education programs change lives.

Not only can experiences of violence have a serious negative impact on a young person’s education, academic achievement and employment prospects, it can also have lasting impacts on their wellbeing long into adult years.

Our Education Programs inform young people about the consequences of violence and drug and alcohol misuse, providing knowledge and strategies to keep themselves and their mates safe, with the goal to achieve a whole school culture where violence is not accepted. Our aim is to ultimately create a kinder, safer society for us all.

Every 7 minutes somewhere in the world an adolescent is killed by an act of violence.

Every donation made to the Sammy D Foundation supports our work with young people to end violence.

We achieve this through education and mentoring programs in schools, sporting clubs and the community and as of February 2025 we have educated over 285,000 young people.

Our aspiration is for all young people to live their best life free from violence.
